Hot Works

Hot work activities pose significant risks that require stringent management to maintain a safe working environment.

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the key considerations when planning and conducting hot work, including the relevant legal requirements, hazard identification, risk assessment processes, and appropriate control measures.

Learners will gain a clear understanding of their legal and practical responsibilities, the importance of formal training, and adherence to industry best practices. Case studies from real-life incidents are incorporated to emphasise the critical importance of compliance with legislation such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR).
