Display Screen Equipment
This course is designed to assist learners in creating safer and more comfortable work environments, whether in the office, at home, or while on the go. Prolonged screen use can negatively impact physical health and well-being, contributing to issues such as eye strain, neck and back pain, and repetitive strain injuries. Through the application of appropriate knowledge and practices, learners will be equipped to mitigate these risks and enhance both comfort and productivity.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify common health risks associated with prolonged screen use, including eye strain, musculoskeletal disorders, and repetitive strain injuries.
- Understand the importance of ergonomics in maintaining physical health during screen-based work.
- Apply strategies for reducing screen time-related health issues, including posture adjustments, workstation setup, and eye care techniques.
- Set up and optimise workspaces using a variety of DSE (Display Screen Equipment) types to ensure ergonomic safety and comfort.
- Promote better overall well-being and productivity using appropriate ergonomic practices in different working environments.
