Hazard Identification

This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and implement appropriate control measures in accordance with UK health and safety legislation. It emphasises the importance of proactive risk management in creating a safer working environment and fulfilling legal duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.


By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of hazard identification and risk assessment.
  • Recognise the legal requirements for managing risks under UK health and safety law.
  • Systematically identify common workplace hazards across different working environments.
  • Assess the likelihood and severity of risks associated with identified hazards.
